Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) is a non-profit organization based in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, which was founded in December 2013. JITRI positions itself at the nexus of scientific research and technological transformation, striving to overcome structural and institutional barriers that restrict scientific and technological advances and exploring new mechanisms to facilitate technology transfer and new channels for to transform scientific and technological achievements into tangible products. In accordance with the concept of "R&D as an industry and technology as a product," JITRI focuses on two main roles. First, it acts as a bridge between universities or scientific research institutions and industry. Secondly, it acts as a bridge between global innovation resources and Jiangsu Province.

The mission of The Kitalys Institute is to accelerate and promote the translation of scientific advances into material, accessible gains in public health. The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Adult Education (OAE), formerly known as the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy has worked to equip all adults in Philadelphia with the education they need for work, family, and civic engagement since 1983. Lori Rothman is a Food Scientist and experienced professional in the areas of Consumer Science and Sensory Evaluation, specializing in consumer products and packaging. She is known for leveraging consumer and sensory insights to drive product innovation and business growth. Her 35+ years of experience includes strategy development, department creation, staffing and budgeting, sensory facility/infrastructure, cross-functional and cross-geography relationship building, and delivering business relevant results that are clear, concise and compelling.
Lori is credited with two Packaging Design Patents and a Trade secret, as well as the Charles M. Dudley Medal for ASTM International publications that have impacted their field.
Lori developed an auditing system to assess the strengths and weaknesses of companies’ Consumer Science and Sensory Evaluation capabilities; she is also an adjunct instructor at Dominican University in River Forest, IL.

The Tuskegee Industrial Welfare League, was organized in April 1921 in Los Angeles by Dr. A. C. Garrott , a black dentist, and Katherine J. Barr, its first Executive Secretary, to help Negroes participate to the fullest extent in American life by helping to change the social and economic conditions of their environment. In June 1921, the Tuskegee Industrial Welfare League merged with the National Urban League and became known as the Los Angeles Urban League (LAUL) with Katherine Barr as its first President. In 1968, the leadership of the Los Angeles Urban League was awarded to the Honorable John Mack who served from 1968 until his retirement in 2005. In February 2018, former Ambassador Michael Lawson joined the Urban League as President and CEO to steward his vision of re-igniting the spirit of entrepreneurship, ownership, and self-dependence for Black Los Angeles.
